When I was young Breakfast at tiffany's was one of my favourite films, and then I learned that the dress she wore was Givenchy. So I went and found about it. Then cam Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and the rest just followed. Now, I can't imagine not looking and thinking about fashion. So she basically started my obsession! I think it's because her style is so classical, that it is still relevant today! Thinking of today's stars , I don't know about who we will be able to say that.. Lady Gaga?? HAHA! She's easy shorthand, like Jackie Kennedy/Chanel etc, for a certain kind of clean, simple, inoffensive look. No one is ever going to question you if you say Audrey is your style icon.

If, however, like me you might blurt out that, say, Jo Grant from Doctor Who is your style icon...it invites questions, bafflement and sometimes ridicule. ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03931123222319080079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185133934790891461.post-67783525971333288452011-01-25T13:18:57.338+00:002011-01-25T13:18:57.338+00:00Audrey's style to me reminds me of old Hollywo...Audrey's style to me reminds me of old Hollywood Glamour and what a true star and lady should be like. Sadly our stars of today don't or very rarely live up to the standards set by Audrey and her peers. She also reminds me of the great Saturday afternoon matinees where you could watch all the old movies at home on BBC 2, again sadly those days seem to have gone too.CameronPoe2409https://www.blogger.com/profile/13686916250029124773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185133934790891461.post-16907071935779226352011-01-25T12:17:25.887+00:002011-01-25T12:17:25.887+00:00I can see the appeal although Audrey's style i...I can see the appeal although Audrey's style isn't for me. Well dressed, well groomed, stylish, good morals and high standards. She is who we wish we were.
