Today I'm stepping away from black and the high street and back to the joy of second hand clobber. Yes yes I know you want me to say 'vintage darling' but I like the words 'jumble sale' and 'second hand' much more than 'vintage' and 'thrift'.
I've never been a fashion snob nor the fashion police and happily have a broad church of shopping approach to clothes. Nothing and nowhere is off limits. My only criteria is do I love it and do I like the material. One of the benefits of second hand garments is often the superior quality and the fact the item is unique in the current climate of mass market shopping.
This dress is a party wow number, the lovely material has a nice colour depth, texture and pattern. It is also perfectly current and under £100 at £75.

Mad Men fashion - Sally
I know Joan, Betty or Peggy should be my favourite Mad Men fashion fix but truly every week my heart gets captivated by Sally. When I see her clothes I always wish girls dressed like this still. There is something put together about her look - it is a reminder of when children's fashion was a better adaptation of grown up garb.
Come on would you put your daughter in Sally's wardrobe or some hideous faux or real Juicy Couture trackie. There I've 'nailed' my Juicy Couture feelings to the post. I digress, so back to Sally.

Sally has the most gorgeous necklace and I want it!

Today is Mr MDS's and mine wedding anniversary. Therefore I present ourselves as we will look tonight in Soho.
You too can go and Mad Men yourself if you so wish here

It makes me mad......

...that I won't be able to watch the new series of Mad Men until it comes to UK shores. I'm a good girl I don't do illegal downloads or any such nonsense so patience will have to be my middle name. Though really I wish it was January as even the French are doffing their je ne sais quoi in the direction of Mad Men and begrudgingly liking the style
Don't those of you who'll be watching come over all gloating now!
