Bags of Power

Nothing beats an Anya Hindmarch in my book. Yes I might love and admire, in fact covert a Chanel 2.55. I wouldn't say not to a Prada or two, plus I'm quite partial to few others but my serious gazing is always reserved for a Hindmarch.

I was quite overcome with a grown up urge to possess this Grey Sylvia Boxy bag it would make me almost glide amongst the crowds. There are a lot of crowds currently in London - half of Europe has descended to shop, eat and take in a gallery or two! I need a good bag to distinguish my very being. I feel boxy bags are the future.

Check out the bling...

Kingdom of Style have drawn attention to the fact Handbag.com and Cancer Research UK have teamed up to launch Handbag Amnesty to raise money to help beat cancer.

From September to October celebrities will be donating their bags to be sold on eBay to raise money. The bags will then be auctioned from Friday 3rd - Sunday 14th October to tie in with Breast Cancer Awareness month. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.

How cool would it be to win a bag and find some left over stuff in there. I'm going to be looking to see what Dame Shirley Bassey donates! Please let it be blingtastic.

A little aside....

Prompted by Mrs Fashion to consider my Lenten failings I was reminded of a news item yesterday on a senior Vatican official who has drawn up seven modern mortal sins to be avoided by the faithful.

Luckily for me I'm currently not guilty of any of them - now it is just the old fashion lust and covetousness of handbags I need to conquer.
