Just add cocktails

As the rain pours and the chilly wind whistles along the Thames my increasing obsession with sunshine knows no sign of abating. Never have I craved the Spring or Summer so much. Daily I see something sparkly or cheery and then my grey skies above dampen my momentary joy. I cannot recall a time when my sunglasses did not feature in my bag. Once this month have I put them on and for two minutes.

With Reiss adding jewellery to their growing retail offering, it was the Corrine gold multi chain sovereign necklace that started me thinking of Miami. Imagine this necklace accompanied by a white dress, sunglasses, bare feet - one foot gently poised in the pool and then a waiter walks over to hand you a cocktail - ah bliss.

Star gazing

I admit a liking of stars, mainly of the astronomy kind, and this has always led me to having star accessories. When there was a recent craze for stars I was a tad upset believing I only had a right to this indulgence! I know, where does one get ideas in their head like this. I also took exception to the gladiator trend on the basis I'd been wearing them for years every summer so didn't wear any last year!

I also have a weakness for Cath Kidston - this is not to be compared with my weakness for Marc Jacobs or Lanvin. I know the difference. But...you can't fault Ms Kidston for her twee and quirky quintessential British seaside, jolly hockey sticks delights.

At £12.00 these little star numbers are quite cheery and glitzy at the same time without screaming what ho!

In Wolves clothing

I thought this top from Toast was the perfect foil for these earrings from Wendy Brandes Jewelry

This gorgeous set has the delightful name of Isabella-Wolf Fang and if these are enough to excite your accessory love then go to Wendy's blog for details of her auction to raise money to help fellow blogger who suffered a dreadful accident.

Hitting the mark

I tend to make fun of Boden due to Johnnie Boden's shall we say enthusiasm!
Overall he produces a wide selection of clothes, with the most improved award going to the children's section. Great quality items at not too bad prices. Wash well too - always a bonus

So after playing my pretend spend game with the Boden catalogue - I applied myself to properly checking the content for my clients. Just in case...

My favourite item and my top tip for S/S 2008 is this belt. At £29.00 you buy a bit of old fashioned Hermes in either tan or orange.
