What a dear

Last year I made no attempt to disguise my disdain for all digital prints of animals on t-shirts. The guerilla et al made me wince.

However in a glorious stroll across Richmond Park, with the sun shining and the young stags frolicking amongst the bracken and fern I wanted some deer action.

My favourite stocking filler presents and decorations at home are anything to do deer. My favourite place to fulfil my deer needs is Caravan in Redcliffe St, Shorditch. Emily, the owner is a fiend at sourcing lots of dear deer items. The shop is a wonderful browse but on-line there is always something lovely to add to a wish list, like this deer hook for £17.50

The trouble with looking around for presents for the impending 'C' season is I always seem to find things that Santa might want to bring me. This time I've tipped into an animal print tee but I assure you it is a million miles away from those I stuck my nose up at!

  1. I can't believe your mentioning the C word already!!! Not sure if I like the top but the coat hanger is fab!

  2. Pearl - I used the full word last week and sacred people. It is so true when it comes to t-shirt and prints, very subjective. One persons love is another yuk! xx

  4. I like the top, wouldn't wear it though, it would look great with jeans.

  5. I love the deer hook. I may be putting that on my birthday list (as I can't bear to think about the C word). xxx

  6. I actually sat down and wrote my list of presents for other people this week. I scared myself a little with how organised I'm being but I'm taking the view that it'll help me balance my money between now and then a little better.

The hook is fab. Can't say I'm quite so keen on the tshirt though, sorry!

  8. When I first met my husband we used to go Deer Stalking in the HIghlands, they were some of the best holidays I have ever had. Needless to say I have a couple of sets of antlers from stags that he shot.. I used to hang my knickers on them.. Now one set is above the fire place. They are such beautiful regal animals and without a cull each year they would starve up there, it was a wonderful experience to be so close to them xx
Sorry do not like the top as it reminds me of a something my mother in law would buy D knowing he loved stags ...

  9. The deer hook's great. They are beautiful animals. I like model deers but don't like to see any dead animal heads as I have a bit of a dead animal phobia and don't even start me on taxidermy... xx
