Revamp planned!

I loved this on the outside of Fenwick's as an explanation of cleaning the building. It reminded me I need to do an uplift to, or powder this blog. I'm loathed to go over to a full web page as I love the rough and ready aspect of blogger. However if anyone does have handy hints on how to tackle a template and tart a blog up - do share!

PS Update - have managed to get to 3 columns!! Now all I need to do is header - help?

  3. I'm not sure either, I remember struggling for hours when starting my blog and still couldn't get it looking as polished as some. Whatever you do don't get rid of the header image of the 3 ladies, I LOVE IT!

  4. Hi there-all I'll say is be careful when changing templates, I attempted about 8 months ago and nearly lost all my links, so I'm sure you need to do a back up just in case! Good luck!!

  5. I know it sounds silly (and very simple) but when I changed my template I googled every thing I wanted to do (make the main column wider for example) and found a tutorial to take me through it step my step. It took ages but was really easy to do!

  6. How did the bread go? Did it taste good? And if so can I have the recipe. Never made spelt anything so would be intrigued!

So onto the blog, sounds like fun, but no idea or advice to offer I'm afraid. Sure it'll look great whatever you do.

  7. Funny - I've been looking into changing over to WP with my blog, but I've tried it out and it's much more complicated than blogger, you also have to pay for a lot of the features that are free on blogger, so I think I'm going to stay put - for now at least.

Which leaves me wondering, like you, how to update and freshen up my blog. I'll probably end up changing the header image, other than that I'm too scared in case I mess it up!

  8. Delicious Ind - I know and I agree. I would like to get three columns. Make the middle one bigger and panel either side - Mrs Fab has done it and Tor. Tor says use google. I just want someone to tell me!!

  9. Ahh, reminds me that I'd love to have a facial, too. I did some things over the time - widening the blog for example, so I could insert bigger pictures. Every change was accompanied by a nervous breakdown, but in the end I normally got there (somehow).

  10. Ok Hon, when I wanted to go 3 column I googled it and got up a site where I just had to copy all the html and paste it in, it was very simple, I am gonna see if I can find the link.

  11. My laptop isn't working as the battery thing has broken inside, if I typed it in on that, I would get it up. You can do it manually on cutestblogontheblock.com

  15. I like it! Of course, I liked it before too. I'm with Word Press and cannot offer any help. Truth is, I don't even know how Word Press works.

  16. Fenwicks also had a sign up a few months ago which said 'There may be rubble ahead'. Also genius.
