If it is in the Sale make it fabulous

Sometimes I love sales for bargains but often they hold no interest for me because I wonder am I being canny or just stuffing my wardrobe with more stuff.

I think sales really come into their own if you get an item you really wanted but at the sale price because you waited and stuck immediately. Forward planning is good but risky if you're not quick enough.

Also you could find something unexpected whilst browsing in a store. Bargain!

Or you decide to go for something fabulous, extravagant and indulgent. My money would be on this jacket from my-wardrobe

  1. You're so right! Much better to buy the one key piece than a load of cheap tat that the shop couldn't shift.
    That jacket is stunning.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for turbans, the best I've found so far is www.valentinewigs.co.uk - I'm tempted with a very glam navy velour one.

  2. I have to agree.
Had a wonderful night last night - I said hello to Fleur. Thanks for publicising the event - I wouldn't have heard of it otherwise.

  3. I also agree, I hate the sales .. the way you cant see anything everything looking creased etc etc ... but when you see a glimpse of fabric that you recognise from long weeks of coveting, the heart quickens and if its in your size.... well get out my way or I will cut your tits off to get it LOL xx

  5. I spent some time in the sales today and most of it was disheartening, so I moved up to the designer floor (oops, shouldn't have done that) and nabbed a beautiful MaxMara jacket at 60% off. I hadn't been looking at it, but I had been planning on buying something camel, so it was clearly fated ... Or so I will tell myself when the credit card bill arrives.

  6. Wow gorgeous jacket indeed! I totally agree. I've bought several items on sale that have been key purchases...I bought a pair of shoes 3 years ago on sale. They're my fave shoes ever and I wear them lal the time. x LZ

  7. I never stalk favorite items and always leave it up to chance - which is why i never find them on sale! It's more likely I'll get the random great find. But I'm cutting out the cheap stuff, I recycled too many things with tiny holes in them this year.

  8. I'm waiting for some sales as I have items eyed up which I don't want to pay full price for but then know I am prone to temptation. But now I'm excited by shopping again - thanks to you - it doesn't feel quite so bad to splash out in the sales a little!

  9. You're so right. Sales are often the perfect chance to stock up on basics or to (if you are lucky) find the dream piece (like this one). xoxo

  10. Love that jacket! I got a couple of bits on the outnet on Tuesday which I am well pleased with especially the Current Elliotts. I await the net-a-porter sale... want some new gladiators.
