..who is she! The woman who can afford this dress. What does she do? What does she look like - in fact we know that she is fairly skinny as the US size 2 has sold out already and there are 2 dresses left in size 4 & 6.
I'm left perplexed by the gap in funds and how wide the gulf is. If I had £8,390 to spend I'd be paying off a bit of the mortgage, any debts and have some pence left over to save not spend. Mind you it is a beautiful dress...oh well.
Who-ever she is, I can tell you I hate her.
ReplyDeleteShe is the skinny-minnie teenage daughter of a wealthy person who buys everything on her platinum Amex card.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is always swooshy. She eats only an apple for lunch and parties on Friday nights in New York and then flies out to Milan for dinner on Saturday.
I am jealous, can't you tell?
Ali x
She's married to, or the daughter of someone with more money than they can possibly ever spend.
ReplyDeleteI can see people saving up for a designer dress but never something this pricey.
I think spending 8 grand on a dress is wrong when there is so much good that money could do. But I guess everything is relative...?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the person that buys this dress doesn't even know it is £8,390, I doubt they have to even look at the price tag.
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous dress, but £8k - I'd rather have a classic car for that money!
Bloody good question! It is RIDONKULOUS and unfair x
ReplyDeleteAs me ole mam would say "she has more money than sense".
ReplyDeleteWho is she? Nobody I know!
ReplyDeleteWhen you find the answer - please share. Thats almost in Rands what my car cost ... lol. It makes me think of the cocktail dress Julia Robert's character wore in Pretty Woman ... its delightful.
ReplyDeleteNot only is that price insane, it downright make me angry.
ReplyDeleteYou should see the prices at Tom Ford they are even worse.
yes.....I can think of a few other ways to spend £8390.....I don't even like it!!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is pretty but wow, the price is insane! The world is becoming a place of have's and havenot's, there'll be some lucky (or is that crazy)lady strolling around Park Avenue in a £8,390 dress with not a care in the world while other people are struggling to put food on the table, it just doesn't make sense. :(
ReplyDeleteOr you could buy a Victoria Beckham bag, oh no you can't, the 8 grand one is sold out!
ReplyDeleteI would love to say it was me :-) Met Laura from my987wardrobe again the other day. She said hello. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteHmmm! It doesn't look that extraordinary from the photo. I have gold and diamond jewelry that is less than that! And it has more resale value.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who she is but if she could buy me some Oscar I could be friends with her! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI would be flying to the Maldives if I had £8390 to spend.. not buying a dress...
Whoever she is, doesn't she know that embellished fabrics add bulk! Holiday in the Maldives for me too in preference to clothes - happy memories are better than stuff (although she can probably wear the dress on her holiday in the Maldives) x
ReplyDeleteNice dress, but not worth that!
ReplyDeleteDear Kate, God knows who she is! The price is just mental. You know what a cheapskate, not in a million years... even if I did have it! xx
