I know the sun has suddenly started to seriously shine and the planes are back in the sky again so all holiday options look a sure bet...but I'm not really hearting any of the summer looks. I often wonder if one gets season fatigue due to working in fashion and being over something before it's happened. I'm sure I'll be embracing my summer soul in a day or two but today I've got Autumn/Winter (Fall) wander lust.
These two images from the
Prada Fall 2010 collection say transitional and now to me. Do they speak to you too?

The first one does! Like the pants.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about getting over a seasons look before it even arrives when you work in fashion. You finish a Winter collection in Summer and then by the time Winter actually comes around I'm sick of looking at it and want to be wearing the new Summer collection.
ReplyDeleteLove both of the Prada looks!
Like them both. I'm all for shoving black tights and skivvies under summer dresses and calling them "trans seasonal"!!! Am still obsessedw ith Scandanavian designers. Why? How? Are You?
ReplyDeleteThe first one is something I would wear over and over any season.
ReplyDeleteHi there-yes, lovely looks, very versatile and stylish for all seasons!!
ReplyDeleteSo agree!
ReplyDeleteI also think the weather at the moment is not quite summer and more reminiscent of the September weather which is when you get transitional! mixing in winter with summer!
I'm really excited about summer! I'll be glad to shed my black clothes. I know what you mean though, I'm not sure if clogs, for instance, are working for me. I'm starting with summer hair. I think headscarves are a nice bridge between summer and autumn. Loving the bow on the second one

Make Do Kate, can you pls tell me what your email address is? Just leave a comment on my blog- won't publish it. Cheers, FF x
ReplyDeleteThe first look is a classic isn't it? I've seen that look get reinterpreted a fair bit. The second look is great I really love it. (see I'm calling them 'looks' and not clothes or dresses, some of your fashion-speak is rubbing off on me!).
ReplyDeleteI am speaking to them, saying "come to Mummy".
ReplyDeletei am not really feeing them...
ReplyDeleteBoth gorgeous pieces makes me wish I had better arms. Why don't they make Spanx for arms?;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the first outfit...if only I had the figure to wear it.
ReplyDeleteHave to say that I have the same problem .. I like to plan and buy things pre season so now things are in the shops I am not wanting anything, but I always prefer autumn clothes anyway ...love the first outfitxx
ReplyDeleteOh yes the 1st one is I love it. Xxx
