Some of us are able to walk in high heels and some of us are stompers who can't. I fall in to the latter category. I can do taxi to table in high heels. I can do a party where no walking is required and I can dance like a mad thing in heels and then I drop. And I have to walk, walk to get train, tube, bus or just plain walk. Of course the trouble with flats is they prevent one from longer length garments and in London I do find floor grazing clothes an issue. It makes me feel ill if they are making contact with the pavement.
Boots for walking the streets of London town need to have enough of a heel to allow for a lean line of trouser, skirt or dress and be conducive to the stomp.
Hi there-the Topshop ones are definitely my favourites, lovely picks xx
ReplyDeleteI do agree, London girls do too much walking to wear heels all the time. Plus one day of walking on cobbles would destroy them in no time, I know. My heeled DMs are some of the most comfortable shoes I own, and I can walk all day in them x
ReplyDeleteI stomp around in 6 inch heels and even tackle the steep Georgian cobbled hill into town wearing them. I suppose if I can spend 39 years walking around with a dislocated hip high heels are a doddle.
ReplyDeleteLove the Hasbeens sole but hate the buckle. xxx
I have heeled DMs too, and agree they are super comfy!
ReplyDeleteI also have some mid-heel cowboy boots which go with EVERYTHING (I have a brown and a black pair) and are endlessly re-heeled.
I can do whole days in heels if the toe isn't pointy! Strange but true!
Love the first pair. White booties, wow, I guess it IS spring after all! x LondonZest
ReplyDeleteI'm just not a fan of pale boots. I have a hard enough time finding the right shade of tan leather, so tend to stick to boring black.
ReplyDeleteI adore towering heels, but am also swooning over these mid-level beauties!
ReplyDeleteI love high heels but to walk around town I need flat boots and these are lovely xx
ReplyDeleteAh finally, some boots that are made for walking!
ReplyDeleteDear Kate, I am so bad at picking good walking shoes. I like the first ones best I think but after seeing Ruth's' gorgeous collection of cowboy boots I think I'd like a pair of those.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing the black suede Fitflop boots and a pair of Easytone trainers... Is it my age or am I just lazy about exercise? xx
I've had my eye on the Acne boots - they're gorgeous but a bit on the pricey side.
