  4. well, as someone who got snaffled up in the rigging for tonight's ceremony when I went to review a show at the Opera House, I really am not interested in it one bit. Can't believe they have to take so long to put up a bit of red carpet !

    Have a lovely week

  5. Rest of family watched Avatar yesterday and raved about visuals; but I hear the story is rather daft. What would be your favourite?

  6. Sabine - anything but Avatar. I'm sure the visuals are interesting but I'm not a fan of 3D as it isn't an advancement of cinema and yes the story is dreadful. For me 3D only adds a dimension when someone falls down a ravine or a spear is thrown. Otherwise you'd be hard pressed to really notice the difference between 3D and 2D.

  7. THIS IS ALL I ASK OF THE ACADEMY AWARDS, TOO! We are fully in sync. I plan to have an Awards viewing party, and to boo Avatar throughout.

  8. Hmmm. I have some pretty big differences of opinion with you guys on Avatar, and 3D - but I'm coming from a very different perspective on this stuff. Very different.

  9. Avatar is a fictional documentary. The re-telling of many people's history. Perhaps that's why many find it so daft. I can be hard to look at reality through another's eyes.
