When the sun shines again (for those of us in the UK shrouded in murky grey skies) then one item in your wardrobe you can make do a lot with for the S/S 10 season is a white shirt. If you lack said garment then go get one!
The main difference is you should go for a bit of detail either in the fabric, the cut or the addition of a ruffle or a bow. Wear with denim shorts, khaki rolled up trousers or a skirt and you are good to go.
Hi there-great picks, I really love the Reiss one, I like the look of an oversized one with some detailing!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Matador one form Matches that cream white is so flattering .. but love the cut of the VWestwood .. touch choice .. I am a lover of a white shirt so will not need to spend more .. thank fuck for that xxx
ReplyDeleteNothing beats a Westwood white shirt. I haven't worn mine in ages, but it will always have fond memories attached from 'Pimms and Bloggers' day ;)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope I can nab one of Dame Viv's white shirts someday!
ReplyDeleteI really need one for the capsule wardrobe I never manage to build!
ReplyDeleteI love white, I am crazy about the color now!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on your posts, sorry I've been quiet for a bit...
ReplyDeleteGreat white shirt picks - I'm in love with the Vanessa Bruno Athe blouse. xx
Nice selection... You would think it's easy to pick a white shirt, but it's anything but. Sabine x
ReplyDeleteSomeday when I can afford it I am going to fly to London and beg you to take me white shirt shopping. There has to be one white shirt in the world that looks good on me.

I love every one of these white shirts, but if I had to choose I would pick the first... and the second.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, had the wedding this weekend in Hawaii. Went with the plum dress as the ocean was too much the color of the other. BUT, I am going to a wedding in Malibu in May, and the ocean there is much more of a silvery gray. I will wear it there. Thanks so very much!!!
Actually I second La Belette Rouge. I have never found a white shirt that I feel/look good in. (Also I worry about dog paw prints, tea, red wine, chocolate, flower pollen and everything else staining it!) xx
