Gap gets good...again
Gap is one of those stores which veers between really really good and sometimes plain awful. On Monday I stepped into its Oxford Street store near Selfridges and it was a winter wonderland. Stocked with splendid cashmere items, pretty party gear with a nice bit of edge plus gorgeous knitted scarves and hats.

The pointelle scarf is lush.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you on Gap, sometimes I do a 2 minute circuit and walk out, at others it is crammed with lovely stuff. I often find the same thing with Monsoon actually, because they really go for a 'theme' I either love everything in store or hate it.
I absolutely love that I now know what you are talking about when you mention Gap near Selfridges. The scarf is my pick, I just love that colour. Stay strong honey and happy birthday.

Have you seen the lovely range designed by Valentino for Gap coming out later this month, it is featured in December Vogue and is really lovely but quite pricey for Gap - if I can get my hands on some I will still pay though!
ReplyDeleteAll their knitted accessories are top notch this year. If only I didn't already have tons of scarves!
ReplyDeleteI never go in Gap, I liked the look of the black trouser collection but saw the models in the window with them dripping off their razor sharpe hips and decided not to bother, maybe I am very strange but I actually like my trousers to come over my hip bones!! The Valentino collab looked nice but there wasnt anythng I would buy x
ReplyDeleteMrs P - now the designer stuff will be on limit and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI love the cashmere sweater!
ReplyDeleteToo bad we do not have Gap here in Belgium...
Have a fab day!
Acielle, xx
Pearl - know what you mean about those trousers, I've never had any luck with Gap and trousers or jeans.
ReplyDeleteValentino is my favourite so I will buy something regardless!
I love the neck on the cashmere sweater xx
ReplyDeleteI've always had a soft spot for Gap but I know what you mean, sometimes you're struggling to be excited by what they have to offer. PS I would have given you a jail free card, the sweater is just perfect!
