The leather pencil skirt is a slow burning fashion trend which looks likely to have some staying power. Part minimalism part extravagance, the leather skirt is fairly effortless in terms of wear. Treat it as a normal pencil skirt and you can wear it with ease for any occasion. The trick is to keep it all simple. Simples non?
I love leather and I love pencil skirts, but I have found it very hard to find a good leather skirt that didn't cost the earth. I prefer leather secondhand because I like the soften and worn look, I guess I just need to keep looking
ReplyDeleteI think the secret to getting a leather pencil skirt to look great is to buy a size smaller than usual too xx
ReplyDeleteI love this look
The last time I wore a leather pencil skirt was Nov, 22 years ago when I was pregnant with my eldest, I can remember not being able to do it up when I came back from a holiday in Turkey, it was a size 10 and now I am going to sit in the corner and cry!
ReplyDeleteI'm always buying them at car boots and selling them after I've tried them on. Pencil skirts look fab on others but not me. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love the look of a tight leather pencil skirt with a really slouchy sweater over the top. Sadly, my massive thighs don't. I'm trawling ebay for the perfect one! x
ReplyDeletej'adore la jupe crayon quelle soit en cuir ou pas, et c'est vrai que l'on peut la porter à tout moment et avec tout
ReplyDeleteNons! It simply wouldn't do with my bottom but I can see it's appeal!

I have always loved the black leather skirt or pants looks, especially with a crisp white blouse. Sadly, ladies built like me, should not wear leather on their derrieres. I leave the leather to to uber skinny girls.
ReplyDeleteDear Kate, I love this and I love the price. In the wardrobe sort out (still not quite finished would you believe?) I've rediscovered a black leather Miu Miu mini that I got on a shoot years ago and it's fabulous. I can still get away with it with an opaque tight. I hope you're having a great weekend. Still only Matt and Rebecca for me on X Factor xx
ReplyDeleteEdgy but classic.
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of this outfit and leather skirts can look fab but beware..they can also look a bit mid-life crisis on women of a certain age!
ReplyDeletemarrying two of my great loves! agree that simplicity is best here. leather speaks loudly enough on its own
