Something I threw on...

Mainly for me it is a blanket due to having a hideous lurgie, cough, cough, splutter. But don't think for one minute my mind isn't on the forthcoming party season because when I recover ...look out!

For once I'm veering off clothes and onto an item to work with every thing you throw on. If there is one thing you can afford to buy then make it a nail varnish. Not just any old nail varnish but Chanel's Gondola number 499. In fact the two Christmas Chanel numbers are Gondola or Intermezzo (# 501). Intermezzo is for those who like a Snow Queen look during the festive season!

Gondola is a silent hero nail polish. It has all the depth of the traditional Rouge Noir but has a shimmery edge that adds lustre to your nails. And in December the addition of understated shimmer will add a touch of glamour to whatever else you throw on. It is that little something that goes a long way.

  1. I never normally opt for a shimmery nail polish, but I may make an exception for that Gondola though!

  2. Oh that's very, very pretty. I like Intermezzo too but it looks a tricky sort of shade to wear.

  3. I love a bit of dark polish!!!! I've just purchased an OPI shimmery burgundy ever so similar to gondola. A great way to cheer up an old outfit!! Hope you feel better soon!

  4. So pretty! I'd always balked at the price of Chanel polishes, but succumbed earlier this year when Particuliere came out. And I discovered that Chanel polishes really go on better and have more staying power than the ones I normally buy. So you're not just buying the brand, it's also a better quality product.

  7. these look gorgeous.....I used to wear nail polish a lot when younger then sort of gave it up, until last christmas I was given 4 shades of sludge, boxed together in perspect, like a piece of art, from Liberty's.... do I look like a Goth, I thought, however they've become my favourite colours, I'm rarely out with out sporting inky blue or plum black nails and the olive green is the one I get most complimented on!!!

Love the look of that Gondola one, but I don't even want to know the price.

I got a really nice Boots No.7 nail varnish the other day, with my lovely £5-off voucher, in a really beautiful sort of pink-y beige shade. I can't wear clothes that colour, but it looks good on the nails ;)

  10. Okay now I need to buy Gondola just the christmas cheer my nails need. Though if I bought the Intermezzo also I could do a fabulous 40's manicure with them both. Decisions, decisions.

    Get well Make Do!!
