High Street Pick of the Week

A bit pricey but a classic, I give you the court shoe in black suede. Admit it you'd forgotten how such a shoe looks on! The other day I tried on my clothes in Reiss with a pair of their Chrissy courts and I have to say it was a good look. I did find them a bit narrow and I don't have particularly wide little flippers for feet. The classic court adds an edge of sophistication that even surprised me. Of course you could go the whole hog and get a pair of Christian Louboutin's classic pumps as he likes to call them! I suppose court shoe does sound a bit 80s or 90s - whatever they look good.

  8. These court shoes are the business! love the structure of them. my necklace was bought for two pounds from the jewellery stand in selfridges during the end of a sales season. it was either a concession stand for Oasis or was it principles but was dirt cheap.

  9. When I read "court shoes" I was thinking Nike's with a Blue swoosh( 80's old school style) and I scroll down to see you were talking about the kind of court where you have to curtsy. Can you tell I have been watching a lot of tennis lately?;-)xoxo

  10. Marian - ah Oasis then as Selfridges have never had Principles in as a concession store. It's so lovely on you!

La Belette - haha! So you are enjoying the US Open. How I'd love to be at Flushing Meadows just to soak up NY and Queens!
